  2. Memphis V2.08 is now superseeded by a StrongARM compatible version.
  3. However, functionality of Memphis was changed - slave filing systems
  4. are no longer supported, so I thought that some of you might still
  5. be interested in that version. I have kept all the original files
  6. in the old directory:

  8. mem208bin.spk  Release 2.08 (binary-only) of Memphis (MemFS),the
  9.                only dynamic ram disk for the Arc. This is the first update
  10.                since almost 2 years,with support of 30 character filenames
  11.                on common filing systems(!), improved filer,and support of
  12.                real-time compression via 'Squash'.
  13. mem208src.spk  10/09/93 Release 2.08 (source-only) of Memphis. This
  14.                includes a new C-'FSLib' that provides facilities to do
  15.                D.I.Y FileSwitch filing systems (like MemFS).

  18. checkcmos.spk  Guards your cmos ram, reports changes

  37.                occuring. This is *good*, because on some of the new  
  38.                machines (ie post-RO2) this hangs/crashes the computer.
